| What to look for in a REALTOR |
It's time to sell your home and you have decided that you need to hire a real estate agent. How do you choose the right one?
A good way to start is to ask friends and co-workers for recommendations. Attend open houses--this allows you to see how agents market their listings. And when you interview an agent, here are twelve questions you can ask to help in your decision: 1. How long have you been in the business? 2. What commission does your company charge? 3. For what term will you take the listing? 4. Do you have a resume? 5. Do you have a written marketing plan? 6. What can I do to make my house more saleable? 7. Do you have any testimonials or references? 8. Have you sold many houses in this area? 9. Can you talk for five minutes about this area? 10. Do you have any professional designations? 11. Does your company belong to a relocation group? 12. How do you attract buyers? The answers to these questions will usually help you select the best agent for the job.
